2018 Sanctuary Rainforest Yoga Retreat

I would like to invite you to join me on my 2018 Yoga Retreat where you will be able to take sometime out to calm your mind, strengthen your body and nourish your soul. You will achieve this by bringing back some balance into your life through practising daily yoga, meditation, exploring the beautiful environment, and with plenty of time to just relax and enjoy this special time away.

Our home for the week will be ‘Sanctuary Retreat’ - set on 50 acres of lush tropical private rainforest with secluded cabins and eco-huts. A 10-minute walk down the tranquil rainforest track brings you to secluded Brookes Beach. Offering a lush, tropical space where you can connect and transform your wellness through yoga, meditation, delicious food and good company.

The Rainforest Huts are designed so that you feel you are living in the wild rainforest. Delicious cuisine, a salt swimming pool in the rainforest, access to near private secluded beaches, birdwatching, combine with amazing views in this unspoilt piece of paradise to offer utter relaxation for you.

From our base at Sanctuary Retreat we will be able to snorkel and explore the reef, experience the coast from our sea kayaks with our private guide, soak up the sun and relax with a massage.

YOUR PACKAGE INCLUDES: 6 nights twin share accommodation (single rooms available), 6 breakfasts and dinners, transfers to and from Cairns airport, day trip snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef, all yoga and meditation classes, 1/2 day coastal sea kayaking, and a 1hr massage just in case you're not relaxed enough.

NOT INCLUDED: return airfares to Cairns, travel insurance, lunches and other personal expenses. (lunches can be purchased at Sanctuary Retreat or take the FREE shuttle bus into Mission Beach)

ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:-

Eco Rainforest Huts:

The minimalist design maximises the sights, sounds and smells of the rainforest whilst giving some personal space to those creatures you may prefer not to sleep with. Accessed by a boardwalk to protect the forest floor, the rainforest huts have no solid walls, instead the timber structure is screened in on all four sides with weather proof curtains able to be drawn for privacy and protection from adverse weather. Each hut has a small verandah, simple furnishings and sleeps two in twin occupancy or one in double bed. Bathrooms for this style of accommodation are in the main building.

Eco Rainforest Huts with Alfresco Ensuite Bathroom:

Description as per Eco Rainforest Hut but with attached outdoor funky en-suite bathrooms with cold water which isn't generally a problem in the warmth of a rainforest climate. Each hut sleeps either two in twin occupancy or one in double bed.

Canopy Cabins:

Of solid wooden construction, with ample, screened glass windows, the canopy cabins offer maximum protection from the elements, while still offering a close connection to the sights and sounds of the forest. These cabins are stylishly appointed with polished wooden floors, handmade natural timber furniture and spectacular glass-walled bathrooms looking out high in the trees. With a studio-style lounge and bedroom and a private, furnished verandah, the canopy cabins offer superior accommodation in an entirely natural environment.

Points Worth Considering:

Our eco-location is a beautiful tropical rainforest with all the associated precipitation, wildlife, perhaps tree frogs in the toilet bowel of the outdoor bathrooms, insects, humidity etc.

Average fitness is required in order to negotiate the steep 15 minute walk up and down to the carpark, beach and walks (you are given a lift up in their big 4WD when you arrive/leave with bags).
